Onaeron reframes the silk scarf as a type of travel guide, each one dedicated to a different destination. Through research and illustration, our scarves illuminate stories and inspire journeys yet to come.
Persian Carpets and Cathedrals
“My childhood was defined by movement, but our Persian carpets traveled with us, anchoring us across every border we crossed. Our weekends were spent exploring new cities, visiting museums and cathedrals, where we’d spend hours lost in the details of a fresco or the patterns of a mosaic.
I realised then that these wall and floor decorations, much like our carpets at home, were more than merely ornamental. They were woven with history and symbolism, guiding us through a time and place, like silent storytellers.
This early immersion in art and travel led me first to architecture and eventually to illustration, seeking to reframe our world through color and light.”
